Re: Drivers

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that while slow, development IS still progressing on the drivers. I'm doing all I can in what free time I have, but don't worry, I haven't let you all down! As I said, when any major breakthroughs happen on my side I'll let you know. JoeM - as for the lighting, ...

Re: Drivers

JoeM- I totally understand. With school starting, I've been too busy even to think about music, nonetheless program a device for it :). I plan on using this weekend for some hardcore coding though... should be tons o' fun. As for what you've whipped up, I was going to set up a SourceForge for the pr...

Re: Drivers

Hey everyone! Just a little update- Development on my end has been paused due to school starting soon and pretty much time crunch coming in. I'll be continuing development as I can, which will mostly be weekend work, and thus far everything's picking back up on track. I apologize for the delays and ...

Re: Drivers

After we have a working driver, we will also need to release a new setup file for the FTDI chip which sets the device to the new PID. Is there anything else you guys need at this point? -Mike Mike, This is amazing news! I'm in New York City for the weekend, but as soon as I get back I can get back ...

Re: Drivers

Well, the main problem remains that we cannot use a set of PID/VID that is already in use by FTDI and have the software be a driver. The options we have are: 1. I can try to figure out a workaround--probably software that will attach itself to the FTDI driver and translate anything returned from tha...

Re: Drivers

Good news everyone! Today I finally got to some very minor testing--basically just testing the fact that the system is detecting the device correctly (sorry development's going a bit slow, I've been held up quite a bit by... err... life :D ) for the Linux driver. So far, so good! Only a small step, ...

Re: Drivers

Not to get off topic, but yes we do intend to ship anywhere people want, as long as we can get a price that is acceptable. By the way, when we build these, we program the USB device to "appear" under the name "aurora224". Is that at all important when writing a driver for this U...

Re: Drivers

CPRussin!! If you write a Vista driver i'll be your BEST FRIEND!@#1!@111!#!@!!!!!! Well in that case I might be quite tempted to do so... :D Now that the OS X driver has been taken off my back, it's a very likely possibility. Depending on what my research shows before I start writing, I might be ab...

Re: Drivers

Hey guys, I had some e-mail contact already this week. I got your OS X driver covered. It's one of those things where if you've done it before (I have twice) it's simple, else it makes no sense and is a pain in the ass. I've even written a driver that use a USB->Serial FTDI chip as a coreMidi plugi...

Re: Drivers

Let us know if you can also squeeze a Windows Vista Driver into your To Do list. I use both, and it'd be nice to use the Aurora on either, as my Vista machine is my home desktop unit, and my XP machine is quite portable . If not, let me know and I may find some time to tinker with it. I know zero a...
